Pop It Like It’s Hot

I like to have popcorn every now and then.  I’m trying to eat clean and stay away from the microwave butter filled bags of corn.  I used to have an air popper in college and loved it.  I found one that I am thinking about getting from C Wonder.  I like it because it looks cool and is kind of small.  I also like the $29 price tag!

Stick UM Up!

You are going to love this product…I know that I do.  Stick UM’s allow you to hold your stuff wherever & whenever you want.  Seriously, they are like magic.  I put the black Stick UM pad on my dashboard in my car – it is just a flat rectangle (3.5″ x 6″)sticker.  The magic happens when I stick my iPhone onto it – it stays put!  I can pull it off when I am done driving and their is no residue on my phone.  The next time I get in my car, I stick my phone right back onto it – and it stays put again & again!  This is so helpful to me when I am using my phone’s GPS…I can easily see the directions right in front of me without having to use my hands to hold my phone.  Genius!  You can re-use it over & over again – and even wash it off if it gets dirty.

There are a ton of other uses for this amazing sticky pad.  I think I am going to put one by my bed because I use my phone for my alarm.  My daughter wants one for sticking things to her wall in her bedroom (say goodbye to thumbtack holes), and I want to use one in the kitchen to hold recipes.

Good thing it only costs $6.99 – because I am going to need a bunch of them!  The hardest part will be deciding what colors to get – they come in 10 different options.

I’m addicted!  I love Stick Um!

I received product from Um Brands to review.  This did not sway my opinion of their product.

Spring Break!

This week is Spring Break!  My posts will be a little off this week…we are busy trying to have a great break.  But I will leave you with a few things…

  • I finally got an iPhone & an iPad (yay!).  I love how they work together…I feel so organized.  I would love your recommendations on apps & accessories.   Help a girl out!
  • I’m totally addicted to the game Draw Something.  It’s so simple…but totally fun.  I draw a picture and whoever I am playing tries to guess what I drew.  You can get the app on your phone or tablet.  If you already play…look me up – I’m playing under the name Katyshops.
  • I used my free spray tan coupon from Palm Beach Tan today…love that a blonde hair, blue eyed, freckly girl can actually get a tan!  Become a fan of them on Facebook and you will get lots of freebies from them.

Stem – A Great Idea!

Isn’t this a great idea?  You insert it into your citrus fruit and it turns your lemon or lime into a citrus sprayer.  Very cool.  Even better?  It is only $4.99.

Must Have for Coffee Drinkers.

Have you heard of Coffee Joulies?  You drop one of these in your coffee and it cools it down to a drinkable temperature.  But wait, it gets better….the Coffee Joulies actually keep your coffee warm for a longer period of time.  Here is what they have to say about their coffee technology:

Each polished stainless steel shell is filled with a special phase change material that melts at 140°F. Put them inside your coffee and they absorb heat when it is too hot and release it back into your coffee to keep it at the perfect temperature.

Pretty cool (or should I say HOT), right?

Jump From Paper

Have you seen the Jump From Paper purses?  They look like cartoons but are actual bags that look like drawings.  Weird, right?  They are quirky & fun though…and very roomy.  They actually have room in them for a laptop!

I {heart} Scout

I love bags, bins, and organizers.  I also love dachshunds.  Scout by Bungalow combines both of my loves.  They have great products in great prints…and their label has a dachshund named Scout on it.

I purchased a Plum District deal last week for $40 worth of merchandise from Scout.  It was so much fun choosing what to buy…I love it all!

Because I am an organizing freak I had to get some storage bins.  I picked up 2 of these for the inside of my armoire.

I got this great bag to take to soccer games.  It is water resistant and zips closed – perfect for the soccer field.

Picked out this to hold my laptop…

And I got this to hold important items in my tennis bag…

Ooma – The Amazing Way to Eliminate Your Landline Phone Bill

I am so excited about this product!  I have spent months looking into ways to cut down my household bills.  I knew I was paying way to much for my landline ($50 a month).  I like having a landline for a few reasons – I like talking on a regular phone instead of my cell phone, I don’t want to receive all of my calls while I am out & about, and it just seems safer with kids in the house.  My search led me straight to Ooma.   Ooma provides free home phone service once you purchase their device for a one-time fee. Plug your high-speed Internet and existing home phone into Ooma and call anywhere in the U.S. for free.

Ooma is just a  little black box that we plugged into our modem on our computer.  We ported our old phone number to over to our Ooma and our phone number never changed.  They do this for you – it takes about 2 weeks.  I now have a landline with my same phone number and only pay my 911 fee…which is about $3 every month!!!  It really is that easy.  As soon as my number was ported, I called Comcast and told them to take the phone services off of my bundle.

The phone quality is awesome – it is actually clearer than the service that I had with Comcast.  I have more calling features than I had with Comcast.  Here are some of the features that I love:

  • Call Blocking – I can choose to send certain calls straight to voice mail or block them all together.  Don’t you hate it when the same telemarketer number calls you at the same time each day?
  • I can have up to 3 different phone numbers for no extra charge – great for someone running a business out of their house.
  • I get a text on my cell phone when someone leaves a voice mail
  • Online Voice Mail – I love this, it is so easy to use!
  • You can call Canada for free and anywhere else outside the US for low rates.

They offer a ton of other features too.  You really should visit their website to see all the features you get.  It really is that easy.  All you have to do is buy the box for around $200 and plug it in and your big phone bill is gone!  They sell the box for around $180 at Costco, you can also find it at Best Buy.  I ordered mine online.  It cost me $39 to port my old phone number over to my Ooma box.  So, the set up cost for me was under $250.  Remember, I was paying $50 a month for my landline service – in 5 months I will break even and start saving money after that.  I am so excited!!  I really love this product!  After all of my research it seemed like the best quality and value when comparing the other VoIP companies (Vonage, Magic Jack, etc).

I’m so glad I found Ooma…and I love saving $50 every month without giving up my landline!!

Very Classy.

I’ve been stuck on the couch sick for the past few days…cleaning out my DVR.  Hey, it’s cleaning, right?  I have watched more Nate Berkus episodes than I can count.  He had one of his friends on (Derek Blasberg) that wrote a book for women called:

Very Classy: Even More Exceptional Advice for the Extremely Modern Lady

He is kind of like an updated Emily Post.  If you have a daughter I would buy this for her.  It is packed full of etiquette for today.  From cell phones to hem lines.  It’s like having a gay best friend in a paperback book.
