Bling.
I have written about pepper spray before. A long time ago I featured some pretty blinged out pepper spray. This one takes the cake…it is an actual pepper spray ring. Isn’t that clever? You wear it! One of the problems I have always had with using pepper spray for personal protection is the fact the you have to actually get it out to use it. This is perfect, it is ready to go at all times.

Do you remember when you carried a backpack? They are awesome. You can cram a bunch of stuff in them and then carry it all on your back. Poketo is a retro inspired backpack for adults. It even holds a laptop. I love the fact that it is made out of canvas instead of nylon.

Fit Friday – Inspiration
Sometimes you can be your best inspiration. I have been following a pretty aggressive weight training program for the last 15 weeks. My inspiration was a pair of teeny tiny jeans that I wore when I met Keith Urban. Not only are the jeans a huge inspiration to me, but the photo of me wearing them is a huge inspiration that I looked at often (okay, I was mostly looking at Keith Urban). It has been great to have a photo to look at as my goal. But what if you are trying to reach a goal that you haven’t ever hit? Did you know you can make your own inspiration photo? Empower Me Photo is a company that will slim down a photograph of you and turn it into a refrigerator magnet for $25. It is based on the idea that you will be inspired by looking at a slimmed down picture of yourself and make better food choices. Do you use a picture or piece of clothing for inspiration? Here is an example of their work…

Cake Pops
It’s Maddie, filling in for KatyShops, and I am here to blog about my book I just received in the mail the other day. This book is no ordinary book, it’s Cake Pops by Bakerella (A.K.A. Angie Dudley)! I have been following Bakerella’s blog everyday for the past couple of months, and have fallen in love with her recipes, especially the cake pops, cake balls, and cupcake pops. And when I found out she is going on a book signing tour this fall, I jumped at the chance to buy her book. This book not only has great projects and recipes, but also information so that your cake pops turn out perfect. There are jack-o’-lanterns, puppies, chicks, wedding cake pops, and tons more. The touring schedule for Bakerella’s book signing tour can be found here. So go ahead, buy Bakerella’s book and fall in love with cake pops.
