A great idea!

Have you heard of Idea Paint?  It is Dry-Erase Board Paint for the Home.  Brilliant!  Immediately, my wheels started spinning when I heard about this amazing paint.  Just take a look at the gallery – this is some fun stuff!  It comes in ten different colors and has so many different uses.  I even ordered a sample to try out in my classroom!  Has anyone tried this?

The New Prep.

Did you have this growing up?  I did.  I loved this book…read it cover to cover, again & again.

I’m in luck!  They have a new handbook.  This one updates the old faithful.  With topics that include reality TV, Casual Friday attire, Food Network, and rehab.  I can’t wait to get my hands on this one!

Cattiwampus

I have never typed that word before!  It is a fun word to say…but not a fun word to type.  So why did I type it?  They have some really cute kids things.

The  Little House kit is so fun…for only $7.50.  I would love to color this!

I love kids wooden play food.  I have never seen a wooden turkey.  Yum.

Perfect for Easter.  Not only is it a puzzle, it comes with paints…they get to paint it too!

Hand knit Sushi Rattles.  Need I say more?

I am Savvy.

Everyone know by now that I use coupons.  A whole bunch of them!  I don’t use a giant coupon binder, and I only clip the ones I will need for each particular shopping trip.  Recently, I was sent a Savvycents Wallet to try out.  It really is perfect for me.  I love it!  First of all, it looks super cute.  You know, you can be frugal and still be fashionable :)   Most importantly, it keeps my couponing habit extremely organized.  It is designed for people who budget using the envelope system.  It has an accordion style file system that includes labels to customize your categories.  It also has 6 pockets for debit cards and a place for your checkbook & drivers license.  On the back is a change holder.

How I use it: I like to keep coupons for stores that I shop at (Kohl’s, Macy’s, etc) and restaurant coupons that I get in the mail in my Savvycents Wallet.  I used to keep them paper clipped in my purse (which made my purse really messy).  I find that if I carry them with me, I will be more likely to use them.  I also use it for my weekly grocery shopping.  I put my coupons that I will use in one file, and then switch it to another file as I pick up the item.  This way, when I get to the checkout line, I know that I have an item for each coupon that I am redeeming.

I keep my store rewards cards in the debit card pockets.

It really has made things so much easier and organized.  I love organized (and easy)!  I find that I am using my coupons smarter, because they are so much easier to file and find.  It fits right into my purse, and is always ready to help me score the next big deal :)   They come in 3 colors and are $24.99.  This would make a great gift for that friend who is always whipping out that restaurant coupon at the table.

This is another great product designed and marketed by a stay at home mom.  I just love those kinds of companies!

I was sent a Savvycents Wallet to facilitate my review.  It did not sway my opinion.  I love it because it is a great product, not because I received it for free.

Race Day! (and giveaway)

I’m heading to the Expo for the ING Half Marathon that I am running on Sunday.  I LOVE going to any kind of expo, but especially a running one.  You get to see the latest and greatest products out there…not to mention that you get a ton of freebies!!  Whoo-hoo!

Speaking of freebies….Kellogg’s sent me over a few of their FiberPlus bars to try out.  Chocolate Chip, Dark Chocolate Almond, and Chocolatey Peanut.  They are really good!  They taste great (the Dark Chocolate Almond is my favorite).  I like the consistency, they are very moist and chewy – but not cakey.  In other words soft but still with a little crunch (like a rice crispie treat).  They are super good for you too…35% of your daily fiber and a bun of antioxidants are packed into these little guys! Not to mention dark chocolate, almonds, vitamin E, and more!

Two of you guys can win your very own taste test packages!  Simply comment on this post – tell me what you like to snack on…or hey, give me some encouragement to get through my half marathon on Sunday :)   I will pick 2 random comments and let you guys know who the winner is on Monday morning.

If you don’t win, you can get a 75 cent coupon for the bars here.

Kellogg’s sent me 3 FiberPlus bars to try for free.  This did not affect my opinion in any way.  They also are providing 2 of my readers with their own test package.

Maddie’s Picks

Hey! It’s Maddie taking over my mom’s blog for the day! I wanted to do something nice for her since she’s worked so hard this week getting me from place to place, and I have some great products to share :)

  • So I saw these great mints on fredflare.com the other day and thought they looked delish…but they aren’t ordinary mints! These are frosting flavored cupcake mints! So know you can have the taste of cupcakes without all of the extra calories (and you can take these anywhere you go!). Also, fredflare.com often has codes for free shipping, so you can use one of these whenever they have them to get the shipping charge ($7.95) taken off of your order.
  • A ring filled with sprinkles sounds odd, right? Well I ordered one the other day and love it! I have gotten so many compliments on how cute and different it is since I’ve gotten it. If you want one of your own, you can order it online from voodoopickle.com. And now, the ring is 10% off! But be careful-don’t eat the sprinkles! :)

  • I think this is the coolest moustache inspired product ever! I don’t know why, but moustaches are all the rage…well, you don’t have to have one, but they make the best innovative products. And this moustache key holder is actually pretty cool. It’s painted gold and one of a kind!

So, these are just a few of the things I’m raving over right now, and are cute! Plus, they are all new and innovative and will have you swooning over them! Enjoy! :)
