All you ever need…

I found the BEST long sleeved T-shirts.  They are super soft, come in bunches of great colors, are very affordable, and come down long enough to hide anything that might be sticking out.  They are by apt. 9 and sold at Kohl’s.  Normally they are $26 (which I would pay for them if I had to) – but they are always on sale!  This week they are $14.99.  I wouldn’t just get one because you will love them so much that you will be running back to get a few more colors.  I have received so many compliments on mine – and they are just a T-shirt!!

Really?

ExOfficia claims that you can wear one pair of their underwear for two weeks straight through 17 different countries.  Apparently it is super odor resistant (lets hope so), has some kind of bacteria control in it, and made out of a magical quick drying fabric.  That sounds great….but two weeks?  I have to confess that I haven’t tested this product out.  Not gonna happen.  Unless I get chosen to be on the amazing race, then I would wear them.  They come in men’s and women’s sizes.  For the washing machine challenged person in your life.

Eye candy for your ears too. {Giveaway}

I recently had the chance to listen to the new Harry Connick Jr. CD, “Your Songs“.  I like it.  Bunches.  In fact, I pink puffy heart him it.  We all know who Harry Connick Jr. is – velvet smooth voice, boyish grin, sultry blue eyes….I could go on and on.  The best thing about this CD is that you already know the songs!  Trust me, you do.  That is probably why the album is called “your songs”.  He sings a little Sinatra, Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, and more.  My favorite song on the CD is Just The Way You Are – by Billy Joel.  It takes me back to the old Glass Houses tour…good times!  But don’t worry, all of the songs have been Harry Connicked – they are a little bit different and sound very Harry.  Here is the track list..

All The Way (Frank Sinatra)
Just The Way You Are (Billy Joel)
Can’t Help Falling In Love With You (Elvis Presley)
And I Love Her (The Beatles)
(They Long To Be) Close To You (The Carpenters)
Besame Mucho
The Way You Look Tonight
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (Roberta Flack)
Your Song (Elton John)
Some Enchanted Evening
And I Love You So (Don McLean)
Who Can I Turn To? (Tony Bennett)
Smile (Charlie Chaplin)
Mona Lisa (Nat King Cole)

Better than Chalk (and even better than a Sharpie).

Can I just talk about my absolute favorite new calendar one more time?  I love it!  Especially now…because I found out about Chalk Ink.  You know how when you go to a restaurant that has the specials written on a chalkboard and they look all colorful & like an artist wrote them out?  They are written with Chalk Ink pens.  They are kind of like paint pens but for a chalkboard.  They come in a ton of vibrant colors and make anyone look like a professional sign maker.  I picked up a package at Michael’s the other day and have been smitten with these pens ever since.  I use them on my chalkboard in my kitchen as well as on my dry erase calendar.  You can write on glass, metal (cute metal buckets that you can personalize), plastic (think tupperware here),  chalkboards, mirrors,  and more.  They look like you have used chalk…only they don’t smear off.  They apply smoothly, don’t make a mess, and look super vibrant!  You simply  wipe them off with a damp towel when you want to erase them.  The best part?  No chalk dust on your chalkboard!!  They come in a ton of great colors.  I bought the “Earthy” set because they match my kitchen colors.  My calendar and chalkboard look super cute and artsy now…no boring, dusty white chalk for me.

chalkHere are some examples of how awesome they are…

Level headed.

Yesterday I told you about the best calendar ever..(from sayitwithstyle).  I wanted to find a good looking inexpensive frame to put it up in.  It was pretty big (16×20), which made my choices of frames pretty slim.  I found a line from Burnes of Boston called Level-Line.  It was originally $50 but all frames were 40% off and I had a great 30% off coupon.  My bottom line was $21.  This was the best $21 dollars that I have spent on a frame.  You simply nail up (nails included) this little plastic level piece and then set your frame onto the level piece.  The plastic piece has a level on it….so it is super easy to hang your picture completely straight.  The other benefit to using this frame for my calendar is that we are constantly writing on the glass…the frame never moves.  It is hooked on with that special piece. They have a ton of different styles to pick from.

I will never…

…have to buy another calender again.  Ever.  This is the coolest calendar in the world!  It is a personalized dry erase calendar that stick on the inside of a picture frame.  The decal goes on the glass and when you hang it up you just write on the glass with dry erase markers.  I found it on Etsy from sayitwithstyle.  I love it for many reasons…

  1. It is personalized.  You know how much I love all things personalized/monogrammed.  You even get to pick your color.
  2. It is big.  Yep, 16 x 20 inches.
  3. It looks great hanging in my kitchen.  I picked up a nice frame from Khol’s for under $20.
  4. It is fun!  We have color coded everyone’s activities – my kids just come home from school or practice and write in the updates.
  5. It is Eco friendly.  No paper waste.  At the beginning of a new month I just wipe it off and start all over again.
  6. It is cheap.  Only $18
  7. It is really easy to install on to your frame.  The directions are foolproof.  Tons of pictures to guide you.

I have received so many compliments on this.  It is actually quite a show piece in my home.  Who knew people would be so excited about a calendar.  I think deep down inside we all like to write with dry erase markers :)   Buy one for yourself, buy one for a Christmas present.  I guarantee they will love you forever for it!  I will write more about the frame I used and the super duper cool markers that I found to use on it…you will have to wait.  Here are a few of the designs…
