What Wii have been doing.

We purchased a Wii last Spring that came with the standard Wii Sports and Wii Play games.  My favorite was the Golf, Maddie & Riley loved the tennis.  We were happy and content with our two games and never purchased any more.  Along came Christmas…and new games arrived.  Boy were we missing out!  Here are our favorite games…

  • Animal CrossingThis is a cute little game where you set up a house in a town.  You can fish, talk to friends, go into the city, and decorate you house.  You can even visit other towns & have visitors come to your town via your wi-fi connection.  We had two visitors last night!  It is actually a really calm and serene game…I love watching my girls play it.

  • Raving Rabbids (TV Party) – This game is hysterical!  There are over 65 games on it that spoof Pop Culture.  It is silly & fun!  We also love the fact that it uses the balance board from our Wii Fit.  You dance, play instruments, race, and more.  Up to four people can play at a time…lots of fun.

  • Wii Fit – I’m sure you have heard lots of buzz regarding Wii Fit.  It really is a great program.  You can choose from four different workouts – Aerobic, Balance, Yoga, or Strength.  Many of the workouts are in the form of a game – walking a tightrope (balance), hula-hooping (balance), running through a park (cardio) or snowboarding (balance).  I did the Yoga & Strength excercises for only 26 minutes and I was so sore the next day (and I already workout 5 times a week)!  You can have it check your BMI daily and it will help you work towards a goal number.  Many people have reported big weight losses by working out with Wii Fit.  Not only do I like this game ~ my girls play it everyday…because it is fun.
  • wii2Wii Music – In this game you can choose from over 60 different instruments to play.  You get to choose your song & your setting and then you can get your musical groove on!  There is a wide range of songs to pick from ~ classical to current.  We were thinking about getting rock band, but now feel like we have the same vibe…without all of the equipment cluttering up our family room.  This is another game where up to 4 people can play.

wii3If you have a Wii I highly suggest that you set it up to connect with other Wii’s.  You can play tennis with your faraway friends or visit their town in Animal Crossing…it adds another dimension to playing.  Shoot me an email with your friend code if you already play Animal Crossing at your house…you could stop by our town!
