What a great idea!

I received an email from Karen O’Neil yesterday.  She is the founder of a company called FromUs.com.  It is a genius idea.  She probably explained it best in her email….so here it is…

The story…two years ago my son’s baseball team lost their last game before anyone had taken up a collection for the coach to thank him.  When I came home and started searching for an online way to reach out to the parents, gather some money and buy a gift I could not find anything.  So I got to work creating it…now the service is used for office co-worker collections, families collecting from around the country for a birthday gift, teacher gifts, even political campaigns and sympathy collections.

I’m in awe of her.  I love to see people who see a problem, come up with a solution, and launch a business in the process.  It is win-win.  She has a great business and we get to use her great service!  We all know how hard the “group gifts” can be.  I’m sure everyone has drawn the short end of the stick and had to collect the money.  Go check out her site!
