For your door…
I found some cute things for your door. Sometimes its hard to look past the ordinary wreath, door knocker, and mat.
- Poochie Bells – Adorable little bells that you hang on your door handle. Your dog can ring them when it has to go outside! It even has training instructions on the website. The only problem I can see is that my kids might run out the door looking for the ice cream man every time Winnie has to pee.
With the weather being so nice you might want to prop those doors open. I found some great doorstops.
- Field Mouse Doorstop – How cute is this? He looks like he is working so hard to hold the door open!
- Monogrammed Doorstop – Need I say more? Its monogrammed! It is also washable.
- Rope Knot Doorstop – Simple, modern, relaxed. I love it!
How about a great looking boot tray?
- Ballard Boot Tray – Make sure to put some great looking boots on this tray!
And don’t forget to put something over your door…
Don’t forget…April is Autism Awareness Month!
With April coming to a close I want to make sure that you have given thought to Autism Awareness Month. I know we all know somebody who is affected by Autism. Parents of autistic children are Saints in my book. In fact, I think they should have their own “month” to be celebrated and recognized. Not only are they living with it everyday, they are working together to find a cure. These parents are very unique in their fund raising efforts. First Giving is a site that helps people raise money online for charity. I found a great page that is raising money for a little boy named Mike. They are having a charity walk for him. The page is very detailed with great information about Mike, his progress, and how much money they have raised so far. The site is amazing! I could spend hours looking over the pages of charities and the faces behind them. If you are looking to help someone raise money to figth autism and don’t know exactly how to help…visit First Giving and you will find the perfect place. If you have your own charity…First Giving is the place to get it all organized and promote your special concern. Just remember…April is almost over….help Autism Awareness Month 2008 be the best one ever!
Yay..the week is getting even better!
I came home from work today and my free subscription to Hallmark Magazine had arrived! I have never read this magazine before and I assumed it would be one giant advertisement for Hallmark…not the case! It has crafts, recipes, articles, stories, and more. I was impressed! Remember to go for the free subscriptions when I post them on freebie day…they have really been coming through. I know many of the freebies we never see…but you never know
It is a great way to try out magazines that you never would have paid for.
Exciting week ahead!
I am so psyched about this week. The girls and I pooled our money together an bought a Wii! It should come this week
I can’t wait to play this with them…I am also excited for Mike to try it…he is the only one of us that has yet to try the Wii. I think he will be very surprised at how much of a workout it is. How funny will it be when he wakes up extremely sore after the first day of Wii play?
I am also excited about this week because I am going to get to give one of you a very special prize! The amazing people at Flip want to give one of you a Flip Video Camcorder! This is a special Mother’s Day gift/prize. I will give you the full contest details this week. This happens to be one of my very favorite products. I absolutely love it. It is super small, takes great videos, is easy to use, and is very inexpensive. Keep checking in this week for the contest…tell your friends to enter too! The best part of this giveaway is that the Flip is a pink one
So visit Flip today…check out the product…you might learn something that will help you win the contest….
What is a colloid?
I happen to get just about every magazine on the planet…and I have been seeing the word colloid an awful lot lately. I know you have too…do you remember the Blue Man fraud? Yeah, the guy that was blue! This man claimed that he turned blue by taking colloids. Kind of like when Violet Beauregar from Willy Wonka ate the “three course meal” gum. Apparently he was trying to make his own homemade concoction and mixed up the formula!

My question is: What is a colloid and how can it help me? Here is what I found….colloids provide the body with minerals to maintain optimum health. You can find it in a drinkable form called Mesocolloid from Purest Colloids. The Mesocolloids have a super high particle surface area which makes it one of the effective colloids you can buy. By taking a colloid supplement you can improve so many health related problems. Some of the areas it affects is the immune system, stress relief, skin and sports performance. Colloidal Silver utilizes the healing properties of silver to do great things for your body. Did you know that silver is actually in the wound pads of most bandages? So I guess what I learned is that yes, colloids can be very good for you. Many users report having a sharper memory, more energy, and even better hand-eye coordination! Will it turn you blue? Only if you make it yourself ![]()
Free Nads
I used to always see the Nads infomercials on TV. Hurry, hurry, vote and pick up a free box valued at $8.95!
Randomness…
- I finally watched The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion yesterday….What is up with Alex & Ramona. I think Ramona is on something. Luann is cool – she can be my friend.
- Why is everyone stocking up on rice? I know that the price is high…but how much rice is necessary? I could see if it was free…but just cause? I don’t get it. Costco’s limit on the amount of rice you buy really doesn’t scare me. Switch to potatoes people!!
- How many different products are going to end up being called “smart”? First the smart car, now the smart toaster? What makes it so smart? Did it take the SAT? Maybe Fox will come out with a new game show titled “are you smarter than your toaster?”.
- This indoor tropical island in Germany looks awesome!! Do you think it is mosquito free because it is indoors? Mike honey…keep saving those Delta & Mariott points
- I like Help products. Simple + Useful = Yay! Maybe I should call them “smart”?
- I honestly have no idea why some of my pictures on the blog this week won’t center. Seriously…what changed?
- Thanks for the drinks & girl talk last night clemsongirl…you crack me up!
Go Cubs Go!
I have a ton of fond memories from my days in Chicago. One of my favorite things to do was to go to Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs. Right across the street from Wrigley Field is a place called CubWorld. Not only do they have the most extensive and affordable Cubs merchandise…they have a live Wrigley Field Cam! I can watch what is going on at the stadium at any given moment! So if you are headed to a game…give me a heads up…I will watch for you! While you are spying on the Cubs fans…take a look at the affordable Cubs clothing and souvenirs on the site. How about a jersey with your name on it? You know how much I love a good monogram! Or maybe something in pink…
I love magazines!
I happen to LOVE magazines! This week received Oprah, Star, ReadyMade, and Domino in my mailbox…for free! Here are some you can get free…
Spin and Elle Decor
I have ordered magazines through both of these sites before and they will come!
