I found the coolest site the other day – The Pokey Pup. I remember when my kids were babies and I used a baby monitor…sometimes it was annoying to listen to some of the lullaby music that played through it. The Pokey Pup has turned some very popular music into some super hip lullaby CDs. I would have loved to have the No Doubt lullaby…heck, I would still like to have it! How cool would “Hey Baby” be set to a lullaby? Other lullabys offered include The Cure, Bjork, Metallica, Coldplay , The Beatles, and many more.
How about the long out of print 1975 Johnny Cash Children’s album (CD now)? It has some silly songs by the legendary Johnny Cash.
The Candy Band was formed by Paula Messner (a former rock star) after she became a mom. The songs are very punk and very cool! I happen to love the Birthday Song!
They also have a ton of books and DVDs. Its a fun site!
