Disney Couture?

I honestly thought this was a joke. Disney Couture.

Here are some popular definitions of the word couture:

• French word meaning sewing or needlework. Now means the top end of the womenswear market.
• Fashion; the term for the clothing that designers create for an exclusive market of individual customers and exclusive boutiques that will be made to each customer’s measurements.
• High fashion. The highest levels of fashion design, usually features designs that are only affordable to the very wealthy. Example: Chanel, Christian Dior, Valentino, Lanvin

Apparently Disney has hired designer Kidada Jones to design a line of Disney Couture. Now don’t get me wrong…the pieces are very nice. Couture…not so much. More expensive…seem to be. Why don’t you decide for yourself.
