Radio Thursday…Kristen Get Better

Okay, I had to re-do my Thursday Blog verrrrrry early this morning. It seems that Kristen Gates (the KICKS morning co-host) is under the weather. These morning show people work the craziest hours and keep the craziest schedules. I wondered to myself “how can KatyShops help keep them healthy?” I have a few products up my sleeve to make sure that they stay healthy and continue to entertain us day after day!

  • Sleep Tracker – This watch monitors your body while you sleep and looks for your best possible waking time. This allows you to wake up alert and ready to start the day. You tell the watch what time you would like to wake up. Then you let it know what “alarm window” you would like it to start monitoring you for your most alert time frame. It will wake you when your body is most alert within the time window that you give it. For example: I need to wake up everyday at 6:00 AM. I tell my sleep tracker to start monitoring me for a most awake time within a 20 minute window. Sometimes the alarm goes off at 5:45 other times it may be 5:56. This is so helpful to travelers crossing time zones or people with fluctuating schedules. Another bonus to the Sleep Tracker is that it monitors your sleep patterns for the entire night. You can see how many almost awake moments that you had during the night, and how many solid minutes of sleep that you got. The Sleep Tracker was listed in Time Magazine as one of the best new inventions of 2005. The Sleep Tracker retails for $149. It is very easy to program too. This is the last alarm clock you will ever need!

  • Glo To Sleep – This nifty eye mask actually slows down your active brain waves, promotes a more relaxed brain, and induces the deep stages of sleep. The concept is based on the ancient tradition of meditation. The Glo To Sleep creates a powerful focusing effect so you can easily reach the relaxed alpha wave state. Let me tell you in layman’s terms – The Glo To Sleep is a foam eye mask with little glo bars in it. You charge it under a lamp for about ten minutes. When you put the mask on you are supposed to focus on the little glo bars. This slows down your brain and gently lulls you to sleep. The Glo To Sleep will set you back $59.95 – but who can put a price on a good nights sleep? This is a great way to shut your stress and worries out and just get some sleep. It even works if you wake up in the middle of the night.

  • HydraCoach – Dubbed the intelligent water bottle. We all know that drinking water is good for us – but how much water and in what time frame? The HydraCoach water bottle actually calculates your personal hydration needs, monitors your daily progress, and motivates you to drink the right amount of water. It looks like an ordinary water bottle with only one difference – a digital hydration monitor on the front of it. Just key in your weight…the HydraCoach will do the rest! Available online or at many Sports Authority stores for only $29.99.

  • Joey Roll – This water bottle holder in genius! It allows you to always have your bottle of water available. It holds not only your water bottle – but your keys, cellphone, and money too! It has a nifty handle that you just slip your hand into and is very easy to walk around with everything you need in just one hand! The “sport” version that I use is only $11.99. They come in many styles & colors.

  • The Brassage – This underwire bra actually promotes a healthy circulatory system. As you move, little bumps in the side panel stimulate circulation in the lymphatic area. This massage helps detox your body which in turn makes you healthier! Imagine getting detoxed just by wearing a bra. It usually starts at $48 and up, but I found it on sale for $11.99 9.99 (they only have size 32C left in stock). This sounds like a winner. I have read studies on the brassage and talked to experts in the detox field – they seem to agree that it really will make a difference. The bra is made out of soft comfortable material and really feels good when you put it on. Created by a woman to promote better breast health.
