I love a Picnic!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of enjoying a picnic with my students to celebrate the end of the school year. We had perfect weather – sunny with a little bit of a breeze. What a glorious day! Of course this got me thinking about what type of gear would make for the perfect picnic.
- The perfect picnic blanket – this is a must! I like the Sunshine blanket tote because it can be folded up and carried with the handle. I always like to have a blanket dedicated just for picnics…you always know which one to take. For only $17.95 this would make a great teacher gift too.
- Picnic Basket - I like this retro picnic tin from World Market. Very hip!
Sometimes you need to pack more than you can carry. This backpack picnic basket is awesome. Just throw it on your back and hit the trails! On sale for only $40.49!
- Food Containers – You need a good way to transport your fried chicken and macaroni salad. Check out the Fit & Fresh container from Linens and Things, it is amazing. The lid doubles as a plate, it has a sandwich vault, and an icepack that keeps your food cold for up to six hours! All for only $9.99.
- Essentials – The Top It Can Cap is a must for any picnic! This little cap goes on any beverage can and keeps bumble bees from entering the can! It also keeps the carbonation in the drink if you run off to climb a tree. You can pick up a pkg. of two for only $1.99.
You better have some good recipes! I have a few picnics that just have portable food recipes in them – they are a lifesaver!
Some fun games are always nice to have at any picnic. This set has something for everyone!
Most of all make sure that your picnic is surrounded by good friends & family. Mine was!
