Loyalty

I have been thinking a lot about loyalty lately.

Loyal: 1 : unswerving in allegiance: as a : faithful in allegiance to one’s lawful sovereign or government b : faithful to a private person to whom fidelity is due c : faithful to a cause, ideal, custom, institution, or product.

I consider myself a very loyal person. I am loyal to my family. I am loyal to my friends. I am loyal to my faith. I am also a loyal shopper.

One of my biggest loyalties is to Target. I love Target. I don’t even think I have ever said a cross word about that store. Pure loyalty.

I am very loyal to my car. I love my Volvo. There is even a book about women & Volvos.

I am loyal to my underwear. I only wear Victoria’s Secret. I just received a coupon in the mail for another free pair! If you sign up for their mailing list you will get these about 4 times a year! How can I not be loyal to free undies?

I am very loyal to my deodorant. I wear Mitchum clear gel. I have tried others…but let me tell you this is the best. Check out their site for the armpit orchestra!

I am also loyal to a certain hamburger. Have you ever tried Bubba Burgers? You find them in your freezer section at the grocery store. There is no need to thaw them…just throw them on the grill frozen! My favorite flavor is the Sweet Onion. Yummy!

I have been very loyal to my cellphone ring. I have had the “Sex & the City” ring forever! I know – that show is so yesterday! The music just makes me happy. It reminds me of shopping and drinking martinis with really good girlfriends. I could try forever to stay cool & hip with my ringer…but somehow I think I would always fall short. Thats why I am sticking with Carrie Bradshaw on this one. You may have even noticed that they play the theme song on KICKs when I broadcast KatyShops! The HBO website is having a Sex and the City Sale right now! Look what I found to put on my list of want/needs:

I am loyal to Diet Coke, Micheloeb Ultra(the new slim cans rock), Almonds, doxies, slippers, TIVO, my blog, shopping, Friday nights…just to name a few.

Loyalty is a good thing. It makes you feel fuzzy inside. Go be loyal today!

Radio Thursday – Kid stuff!

I love kids. I love them so much that 2 days a week I teach 2 year old babies at a church preschool. This gives me the baby fix that I need. Nothing can brighten up your day better than a hug from a toddler (and UPS). Here is what I have today:

  • Ellie Bellie Capes – Its a bird, its a plane, its Cooper Gates! This initial cape from Ellie Bellie Kids is so cute! It has a magnetic clasp so it is easy for your little super hero to strap on his cape and save the world! At only $30 what little guy wouldn’t love it? They also have adorable tutus for the little dancers.

  • Dwink Box Holder – Don’t you hate it when you give a child a drink box/pouch and it ends up squirting all over the place? One little squeeze and its all over! Not with the Dwink Box Holder. This holder is designed to hold all types of drink boxes. Even soy milk and tiny juice boxes. For only $4.99 you can save tons of frustration. This one is pure genius!

  • Made by Angie Wipes Container – Wipes. We use them for everything! How many times a day do you pull out your wipes container? Now you can do it in style! Angie has turned the boring wipes container into a hip fashion statement. For $30 these will be the hit of the baby shower! Right now she is offering 15% off through Mother’s Day.

  • Diaper Baggies – Nothing is worse than a dirty diaper. Nothing. Diaper Baggies can change the way you dispose of your dirty diapers. They are cute, colorful, and clean! These are disposable diaper baggies with a zipper closure to lock in odor. Did I tell you how cute they are too? They have kid friendly pictures on them. Don’t throw your stinky diaper in your friends trash can without one of these! If you use the Diaper Baggie they won’t even know it is there. Right now if you buy 2 packs, you get one free! They come in packs of 40 bags for $5.49.

  • Huggalugs Arm & Leg Warmers – These funky & fun patterned leg/arm warmers are awesome! Designed to fit from birth to age 6 they are so cool! They are great to have with you when you are out and about. If you catch yourself in a cool spot, no problem – just slide on the Huggalugs. My 9 year old daughter has a pair…and she thinks they are ultra hip on her arms! They also help avoid bugbites and sunburn. They have many styles available for boys & girls.

  • My Boo Boo Buddy – Kids get hurt. Boo Boo Buddy’s make the child and their boo boo feel much better. These are reusable cold gel packs that come in fun shapes. You keep them in your freezer and when used will stay cold for 30 minutes. What child wouldn’t feel better with a football, dog, or kitty on their owie? Don’t use that frozen bag of peas when your little one gets hurt, use a boo boo buddy! Sometimes all you have to say is “Do you want to put a Boo Boo Buddy on it?” and the tears disappear. They are great for bumps, bruises, scrapes, fevers, headaches, insect bites, shots, and much more! You can even warm them in hot water for a soothing warm pack. At only $5.99 each everyone in your family can have their own boo boo buddy.

  • Toe Blingz - Crocs are cool – no doubt. But you can always make them cooler! Enter Toe Blingz…charms for your crocs made with Swarovski crystals. Very swanky!
