My to do list…
Oh, so much to do. I need to keep focused. Taxes to finish, a Radio Segment to prep, laundry to fold, I could go on and on. Things that help you get stuff done. Lets explore this a little more (it lets me put off what I really need to do).
I think the first thing I need is an adequate To-Do List. I like this one. The CrossItOff.list from Buttoned Up is a compact spiral-bound notebook divided into two sections – a To Do list and a Delegation list.
The To Do List includes lined pages, perforated on the edge so you can tear them out and take them with you. The Delegation List features tear-out sticky notes you can hand-off to the sitter, your spouse, or your teenager-who’ll do anything you ask if she can just borrow the car on Friday. A carbonless copy of your Task Request stays in the book (in case you feel it prudent to follow-up.) Very Clever!!!
Now that I have a list of what I need to do…I need to remember my list! Here is where the Doorganizer will come in handy.
How could I forget anything with this little helper hanging on my door! Well, I probably could. But not if I use RememberTheMilk this site will actually IM my cell phone to tell me what I shouldn’t forget.
Maybe I should run out, get this book, and call it a day!
Cross something off of your list today (or at least make a list)!
More new things!
Have you noticed that there are a lot of new products out there? Some are already available others are coming soon.
Diet Coke, the next multivitamin?
Coca-Cola announced that they plan to launch a new version of Diet Coke sometime in 2007. This new carbonated soda will be enhanced with nutrients and all sorts of vitamins.
Yay for me! I love to drink Diet Coke – but I usually feel guilty doing it. Thank you Coca-Cola!
Just in time for summer Sally Hansen brings us spray on hair removal. You step into the shower spray your legs down with the product and in less than 10 minutes your legs are smooth. Sounds easy enough – I wonder what it smell like?
Caffeinated sunflower seeds? Yes, they make them. Sumseed is selling laced with energy boosters like caffeine, taurine, lysine, and ginseng.
This is really cool. The Etch-it Party Cups! Etch-it equipped disposable cups are instant, fun and pen-less. They save time and money. Fewer abandoned drinks equal less to clean up!
Topless, Strapless sandals. Weird. They use a special skin adhesive built into the sandal that adheres to the foot without leaving a sticky residue. You have to go to the website to see these in action. I’ll say it again – Weird.
Renova sells colored scented toilet paper. The colors are really bright. I would rather have a nice sage green. Lets see when this new product hits our grocery aisles. I can hardly wait.
Playtex has come out with a sport tampon. They will send you one to try.
This has to be one of the best new products that I have seen. Disney SunPals sunscreen towelettes. Just wipe the sunscreen on using the pre-moistened wipe. Thank you for inventing this one!
Try something new today!
Free Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee (and other freebies)
On March 21st, the first day of spring, Dunkin’ will “put winter on ice” with their first ever Free Iced Coffee Day. All day long, Dunkin’ Donuts locations all over the US will be giving away free 16-ounce iced coffees. Their iced coffees are “double brewed” for smoothness and come in nine different flavors, in addition to regular coffee.
Whats that you say – not a coffee drinker? Then have some tea. Yogi Tea will send you a nice selection of free tea. You even get to pick the flavor selection. I’m going to try the Peach Detox! Like a little lemon in your tea? True Lemon is crystallized lemon (or lime) substitutes, in packets and shakers. Log on and sign up for a free sample.
Don’t drink tea either? Penta will email you a coupon for a free bottle of water. Hey, you could put the lemon crystals in this too!
Want a little snack with your free drink? Healthy Futures will give you one of their yummy BG Bars. These are so good for you. If you are out and about at the mall get your free Auntie Anne’s Pretzel. They deliver the coupon right to your email in box.
After you drink your coffee (and eat your donut) log on to myheartnow to sign up for their free pedometer. You will be asked to take a short survey and after that you will be counting your steps in no time! I signed up for mine already!

The Lavand Destraction Bra claims to be “the $65 boob job – without the fake boob job look”.
Now this is clever. The people at Purple Rock have made beaded bra straps. They are so pretty! If your bra strap is going to show, make it look like you want it to.
Strap on your bra and have a great day!
This just in…
Receive up to 10 free movie tickets to Peaceful Warrior . They will send you the tickets to print off of your computer. I really don’t know much about this movie except that it is based on a novel and it is rated PG-13. Oh yeah,Nick Nolte is in it too.
Sunday…a great day to go to the bookstore!
Riley (my youngest) came home from school Friday with a gift certificate to a bookstore. She earned this prize by reaching a very high level in her school’s Accelerated Reading Program. Way to go Riley! I will be taking her to the bookstore to use her certificate. Unfortunately, I can’t walk into a bookstore without buying myself something! So you know me, I had to find some deals.
Borders is offering a coupon for 20% off of one item with a minimum purchase of $10. Just print out the coupon and take it to your local Borders.
Here is what I will be using my coupon for:
Here is the description “The Nonrunner’s Marathon Guide for Women is a fun training manual for women who don’t believe that running is their biological destiny but who dream of crossing the finish line nonetheless. It opens with a realistic training schedule and is chock-full of how-to’s, quizzes, and funny observations, which Dais felt were lacking in the guides she had consulted.” Hopefully this book can help me in my quest to complete a half marathon!
Signed books can be such a keepsake. They also make a great gift. The people at flatSigned books have an eclectic selection available. Interested in a book signed by Walt Disney? They have one in their auction right now. The last time I checked the bid was at $255. Stacey’s bookstore in San Francisco also carries a selection of signed books.
Did you even know that reading is sexy?
What’s that you say? No time to read. Not a problem…learn to speed read! Wikki can teach you. Now if only I could learn how to speed clean.
Start your kids out early. Get your favorite little reader a Book Journal. Levenger makes one just for junior readers. What a great way to reflect back on your childhood – through your books.
Speaking of kids reading – do your children have to read for a certain amount of time each day? The Mark My Time digital bookmark is awesome!
Go check this one out, I think this is soooo clever. It can really make homework a lot easier too!
Pull up a chair, get out a book, and enjoy your Sunday!
Singing in the rain
Well, not really. I’m kinda grumbling in the rain. Being the nice mom that I am I let my oldest take my umbrella to school yesterday. Let me tell you…it was really raining here! This sent me on a quest for rain gear! A hoodie just didn’t cut it. Here is what I found:
Winnie (my doxie) must have this rain hoodie. She hates to get wet.
I must run (swim) out to Target to pick up these awesome rain boots. Only $19.99!
I decided the best place to find an umbrella would probably be Seattle. Pare Umbrella is a Seattle based company that sells the hippest umbrellas around! Their motto is “Stylish outfit meets stylish umbrella”. I think they hit the nail on the head!
The folks at Bright-Night have an umbrella for you night owls (or if you live in Alaska). They put a 6 volt krypton light inside each umbrella! It comes on when you open it and magically goes off when you close the umbrella! Genius!
Awww. This one is for lovebirds! A double umbrella. How cute.
Magellan’s claims to have the “Worlds smallest umbrella”. Its the size of a 3×5 index card. Sounds pretty small to me.
With a website named Rainy Day Kids you know they must have some great rain gear for kids! I think I found something for Riley – they even sell raincoats to match the umbrellas!
.
This one is for the Jack Bauer type – A raincoat that is bullet/stab proof. I think I will pass on this. That’s just a little to much!
After all of this searching I think I will just ask my daughter for my umbrella back. Their are just to many options out there for me to make a decision! Maddie…can I have it back?
Don’t get pinched!
I paid a visit to Old Navy. They have their St. Patty’s stuff on sale…you don’t want to get pinched do you? Check out what I got for only$2.50
Another green shoe that I like is by Oka B. I love Oka shoes…they are soooo comfortable! I also love the name of this shoe – The Madison (my daughters name) , and of course I like the price ~only $25.00. A small price to pay to avoid a pinch on St. Patty‘s day!
Speaking of wearing green…be very careful if you wear it on a Thursday. According to the Urban Dictionary there is such a thing as “Green Shirt Thursday” here is what it is:
Wear a green shirt on Thursdays if you are a lonely single looking to score some action for the upcoming weekend. The green shirt will signal to those interested what your intent for that weekend is, and possibly help you hook up with a lovely individual.
oooh, scary. I better be more careful about what I wear on Thursdays! This a very interesting site…you can learn a lot about Urban slang.
Treat your favorite furry friend (they even make them for cats now too) to a St. Patty‘s treat. Visit Greenies and order your free sample. They can chew this green little bone to make their breath smell fresh!
Now go cook up some corned beef, open up a Guiness Stout and start celebrating St. Patrick’s Day!
