I love going to the expo’s before a race. I get to chat with the vendors that I have featured (it is always fun to put a face with a name), pick up free samples, and see the latest and greatest new products out there. I met one of the two moms that founded the Run Happy Tees company. They are two working moms that also run. They believe in having fun and developing friendships while running. I share the same belief! They offer a line of shirts that are super hip and very soft. Just take a look at a few of the great sayings on their shirts….

I love these cork serving trays. Not only are they environmentally friendly, they are cheap too! The small one will only set you back $12. Another great feature….if you drop them outside they won’t break. The only thing you have to lose are your deviled eggs.
It is important to take good care of your bamboo. It will last forever if you treat it right. Bamboo Goo is a great conditioning cream for all of your wood pieces. It makes it shiny & healthy looking.
I hope you had a great 4th of July weekend. I ran the Peachtree Road Race – it was awesome. It is the biggest road race in the country, with 55,000 people running a 10k from Buckhead to Midtown. Tons of fun!
I always try to run each race a little bit faster. There are other ways in life that I try to be faster too. Many products can streamline your daily routine and free up some of your precious time. I have used the Senseo Coffee Maker by Philips for the past 5 years. I love it! Each night I make sure that its reservoir is filled with water, insert 2 coffee pods into it, and set my mug under the spout. When I wake up I only have to push one button and my coffee is ready. Push another button and it fills my cup for me. The coffee is really good and I can buy the pods at my local grocery store. I love it!
My Mio GPS for my car saves me so much time! When I have to take the girls to a friends house, I just type in the address and off we go. This saves me from having to look up an address on the internet or calling for directions. It also saves paper…I don’t have to print out driving directions.
My deodorant actually saves me time! I use Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth. It makes your hair grow back really fine under your arms…that means you have to shave less often! No lie. It works. It is also a great deodorant…no sweat marks on my shirts!

I have a secret. We snuck alcohol on our cruise last week. I know…you aren’t supposed to. We thought it would be nice to have a little stash in our room – and it was nice. Sitting on our balcony enjoying blueberry vodka and lemonade. Yum! The blueberry vodka was so good! I packed some of those Crystal Light lemonade packets and mixed my drink right in our room. I have heard that it is getting harder and harder to sneak alcohol onto a cruise ship. We had a little help. We used the cruise kit from Rum Runner Flasks. They are leakproof, reusable flasks that are compliant with all Airline Regulations. Plus, they are undetectable in your luggage! They are easy to fill – and come with a little funnel. I know…I’m bad!
The best life saver. PSI Bands.
They look like super cute bracelets, don’t they? These cutie pies are a life saver. Actually a vacation saver. Psi Bands are acupressure wrist bands that keep you from getting motion sick. I threw the cute pink striped pair in my suitcase when we left for the cruise. I don’t usually get motion sick, but you never know. If I do feel nauseous, I don’t want to take any over the counter medicine – usually it will make me very sleepy (and I also have to stay away from the drink of the day by the pool). We were all fine…no one was sea sick….until the 5th night. You could tell that a storm was brewing by the big dark clouds….and then the rocking started. It was really starting to bother Maddie. I quickly put the PSI Bands on her wrists and waited to see what would happen. She felt better! I couldn’t believe it! Without medicine – her sick feeling was all gone. Phew. I let out a big Psi (sigh – get it?) of relief. Our night was not ruined – even as the rocking got worse, she still remained fine. I really wanted to put them on my wrists…but I’m a nice Mom and I let her have them. I would totally reccomend throwing a few pairs in your suitcase if you are going on a cruise. Even if you have cruised before and avoided motion sickness. You just never know.
I love them because not only are they drug free – they are reusable, adjustable, waterproof, available (you can get them at Rite Aid), and super cool looking! You know how much I love fashion and function together. We used ours for sea sickness – you can also use them for morning sickness, chemotherapy, or anesthesia problems.
What a great product. It’s no wonder they were the 2009 winner of the Startup Nation Leading Moms in Business Competition. I think they deserve a great big prize for saving night 5 of my vacation from disaster. Thanks Psi!

I have been away…
I have spent the last eight days cruising the Caribbean Seas. We took a cruise through the Western Caribbean – visiting Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymans, and Cozumel. It was awesome! We were on The Freedom of the Seas – what an amazing ship! So much to do and see. We swam with dolphins, climbed waterfalls, ice skated, surfed, climbed rock walls, shopped, ate to much, and floated in the ocean. We loved every minute of it (except for leaving the ship). There are some really clever products for babies/toddlers out there. I’m so glad someone has taken all of the “why can’t you buy…” ideas that we all came up with as Moms and turned them into a business. Lucky new Mom’s get to get all of the cool stuff!
Sticker place mats! How genius is that idea? Seriously smart. I’m jealous.
A changing pad that covers the whole changing table in public restrooms. You never know when a lefty has use the changing table. Think about it. A lefty would have their kid’s butt where your kid’s head goes. Ick.
You need this bad if you have a carseat. Real bad. Throw up goes in every crevice of a carseat.
The best part is that you can get all of these pieces in a matching pattern. Cute and necessary.
